I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I travelled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer. – Ben Franklin

There are many types of people who we come across throughout life, most of those to my good fortune have been hard-working, good-natured individuals that are bent on doing right and making an honest living. But on occasion, especially in the recent years, I have met some who are perfectly happy living off of others, or as I use to know it, being freeloaders. I have heard many times over, “Why go get a job when welfare pays more?” Or, “I’m not going to look for a job until my unemployment is almost up because it pays better.” And of course other similar remarks have come about too.

This seems to be an epidemic in our country now. Gone is the “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country,” attitude. It has been replaced with the notion that the government owes you something, if not everything. That you are somehow entitled to things you have never even worked for or tried to achieve. We have become a nation of many who are far too dependent on government for their needs and too selfish to care about the freedoms they give up in place of an easy mediocre life. And so, when big government rears its head as “help” and “hope” they immediately leap onto the train without a thought as to where is it’s true destination.

Once again, as we have seen numerous times in the previous months, Washington is seeking to expand what it seems to be a generous arm to help the people by extending unemployment benefits by up to 20 weeks and also extending the home buyer tax credit. In a 98-0 vote, the Senate passed the $24 billion Worker, Homeownership and Business Assistance Act of 2009 plunging our nation further into unnecessary and unprecedented debt. Will this help the issue with job loss? No, it will only pay those who are unmotivated to stay that way for 20 more weeks at the expense of the taxpayers who are still working. Will it help the economy? No, it will make those who are working hold on to their money that much more knowing that tax increase is inevitable to pay for the multiple bailouts backed by insufficient funds.

All the while it may help few that really are trying desperately to find a job, but it is increasing national debt, enabling freeloaders, and allowing more government control of business. What is needed right now is less spending and less government to get America back on track. This is a bipartisan step in the wrong direction. And with the Obama administration crushing American’s faith in capitalism, ruining the U.S. dollar, implementing unnecessary programs, and pushing to pass more government take over, you can bet that the dependency on the government will only grow at an accelerated pace. It is ironic that those who are in majority at Washington right now are called Progressives because we as a country are clearly regressing. We are moving away from a free society and towards socialism.

Pay attention to the response of the people being interviewed in line for stimulus money in this video.

As I watched the news last night a glimmer of hope raised inside of me when I found that the Republicans had won in the Virginia and New Jersey votes. This shows that many of those who were seeking “change” with Obama are now seeing that his far left agenda is not right for America as well as with all left leaning politicians. It also reveals that the Democratic methods used to govern these states are not what the people want. And hopefully now realizing that they don’t need to be taxed through the nose to get their economy back on track, but have a leader that will simply spend frugally.

Now that the election is over we are hear from the Obama administration that it was no big deal to lose. With Robert Gibbs saying, that the election of Republicans to the governorships in Virginia and New Jersey was based on “very local issues that didn’t involve the president.” They may think that downplaying their loss will work on the American people, but it was clear to see during the campaigns that the story was quite different.

President Obama spent a considerable amount of time campaigning for the Democratic candidates in the weeks and days before the elections. Obama even said at one campaign rally for Jon Corzine, “I’m going to need you to knock on doors. I’m going to need you to make phone calls,” he said. “I’m going to need you to do the same thing you did last year.” Not to mention the commercials he did for Creigh Deeds, and the extensive hours he and Joe Biden put in just talking to people and rallying for their Democrat comrades.  And now they say it’s nothing, just some local stuff that has nothing to do with the President?

I beg to differ. I think it has everything to do with the President and the way that these politicians aligned themselves with him and his policies. People are finally waking up and seeing that this “change” isn’t working and want to even the playing field. Although it is faint and some what a small victory, it is still hope. Not the Obama kind of hope mind you, but the kind that the American people are becoming informed and will stand up for the liberty and freedoms that have been uniquely theirs for centuries.

I posted the video of Lord Christopher Monckton’s warning of the coming Climate Change treaty yesterday. At that time I did not feel that I had enough information to write on the issue. Although I can not find a copy of the actual treaty to be signed, I have gathered information on it from enough sources to know that what I do have is indeed true.

This December the United Nations will be holding a Climate Change Convention in Copenhagen. It is to address the ridiculous, and recently proved incorrect, notion that mankind is destroying the planet with CO2 emissions. The main idea was to punish the countries and industries that have contributed the largest amount of “damage” by having them pay other countries who have not contributed so much, or what the they are saying is payment for a climate debt. This alone is a huge and unprecedented tax on everyone that will inevitably bring about the final collapse of the American economy. But that is not all.

According to Lord Christopher Monckton today on a Glenn Beck interview, this treaty will allow the set up of a world government. The word “government” actually appears on paragraph 36 and 38. Lord Monckton states:

“There will be a new vast interlocking bureaucratic entity created at huge expense to you and me and that bureaucratic entity will have three purposes, the first of which is twice stated to be government. The second purpose is stated to be the transfer or redistribution of wealth from countries like ours to third world countries in reparation for what is described in the treaty as climate debt.”

“Now, the third element in the task of this new government will be what is called enforcement. In other words, the power of the new government to make Democratic countries hand over their cash, whether they like it or not.”

And President Obama is completely ready to sign this treaty. He has been on board with it from the beginning. We have heard Obama say that his administration is determined to combat climate change, and right after taking office he made it a national priority. As with most liberals and progressives, the environmental movement is at the top of the to do list. The reason is not to save the whales, or the polar ice caps; it is all about the ever so sought after power over others. And in an effort to appease world leaders and reserve his place in the world government, I fear President Obama will not hesitate when at this Climate Change Convention.

I know you are thinking what I did, this is never going to happen. In order for a treaty to be passed it must be ratified by 2/3 majority in the Senate. Of course, we hopefully do not have this many politicians in the Senate willing to give up U.S. Sovereignty (giving that everyone would actually take the time to read it). So there is no danger of this passing even if Obama does commit this act of treason and sign the treaty, right? I’m not entirely sure. From what I have found, and please correct me if I am wrong, if the Senate does not ratify the treaty then Obama can get it enacted into domestic law by a simple majority in both houses. That can, however, be repealed. But the Obama administration can get the states and the cities to get on board with the Climate Change treaty saying that it is what they want and take it to Supreme Court. Then the court will look for the direction in which the country and the world is moving, and then they can give the okay.

This is a communistic vision, one in which is not hard to pick out. We were even warned of this in 2007 by Czech President Vaclav Klaus who said, “It becomes evident that while discussing climate we are not witnessing a clash of views about the environment, but a clash of views about human freedom.” And communism, according to Wikipedia, is socioeconomic structure and political ideology that promotes the establishment of an egalitarian, classless, stateless society based on common ownership and control of the means of production and property in general.

Environmentalism is basically communism in disguise. It is a more subtle and an easier way to get people to peacefully (or so they think) way to hand over their rights. As the article Environmentalism vs. Communism: Is There a Difference?, it says:

“Since the years of the Cold War began winding down, a new threat has faced our nation and has now spread throughout the world. It’s seemingly innocent attempt to save the planet from human destruction is nothing more than an attempt to stifle capitalist economies and provide governments of industrialized nations an unprecedented amount of control over their populations. It is a movement that would make even Stalin proud.”

This is what we are seeing in this Climate Change treaty, except on a global scale. The United Nations as a whole is trying to take over the world’s economy and freedoms. This will no doubt take a heavy toll on the United States of America, who is being blamed for a large amount of the false damage to the environment. We will face mass taxes without representation, and have the majority of the U.S. economy shut down. It is a step towards having the freedom and rights that we take for granted right now stripped away from us without giving time to blink.

Here is a great eye opening explanation of communism. The comparisons of the communist take over of Russia and the current events in the USA are absolutely chilling.

I do not have all the facts as of yet, but the information given in this video from what I have found seems to be accurate. It was also addressed on the Rush Limbaugh show today as well. I will of course write an article when I have more information. In the mean time, here it is, a video which as stated in the information, “On October 14th 2009, Lord Christopher Monckton, a noted climate change expert, gave a presentation at Bethel College in St. Paul, MN in which he issued a dire warning regarding the United Nations Climate Change Treaty which is scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009.”

If you are up for some new reading material, here is the “Framework Convention on Climate Change” documentation in pdf. It may provide some insight into what is instore for this upcoming “convention”.

When I originally posted this I was not sure as to the full extent of the truth, but everything I have found so far points to it as true.

Just recently President Obama was caught holding a radical anti-American book.  Apparently, the President was reading this book on one of his overseas trips. Why would our President be reading something that does not inspire American greatness, but instead speaks about the decline of our once great nation?

In this book “The Post-American World”, written by Fareed Zakaria America is in a state of decline. It states that some kind of world order is starting to rise up led by countries like Russia, China, and India, and that it is starting to surpass America as the leading nation economically and militarily. Basically, this book suggests that America must not pursue superpower superiority, but rather learn to get along with the rest of the world.

One would have to wonder why our President would want to read such liberal crap. Does he believe what Fareed Zakaria states not only in his book, but also in the interview he has given in recent times to the likes of the BBC? I for one hope not. I was, along with many other Americans, raised to believe that America is the greatest country that has ever been in existence since the beginning of civilization. We achieved that status not by conquering and taking over lands, nor by our diversity, but by simply being free. It is our freedom that makes us great. It is our freedom that makes people all around the world want to live here. It is our can do spirit that inspires when the going gets tough we the people get tougher.

I am afraid that our President does not share that same view point. Instead of speaking about our great country for what it is, we catch him going overseas apologizing for what our country has done wrong in the past. Sure I will admit that we have made some mistakes in the past, but that does not out weigh those things that we have done that were good. We fought two wars in Europe and one in the Pacific just in the last century alone.  Not for conquering, but instead we fought it for liberation of all people. We as a nation sacrificed many of our young men and women for the greater good of freedom. We as a nation freed many around the world. We even in the last eight years freed those in the Middle East from the likes of dictators like Saddam Hussein, and also from the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Not only has America defended the world from tyranny with our great military, but our nation has too often been very generous to other countries in need. Remember the tsunami that hit on December 26, 2004 in the Indian Ocean? Many nations like Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand were the hardest hit. Hundreds of thousands of people not only lost their homes, but also lost their lives. It was the U.S. that sent our naval fleet over there first to provide medical, food, shelter, and personnel to help those countries in their time of need. We did this without even being asked. That, my friends, is what America does. I don’t see that same honorable attitude from our current President. In fact, judging from his reading material it is quite the opposite, he does not represent the American spirit which many patriots have now come to miss.

I don’t know where to begin, this is just something you do not expect to hear of in the United States of America, we are a free nation. A small town in Montana needs this story to get out, it is simply unconstitutional what is said to be happening to them. The town is seemingly being taken over by a private security force called the American Police Force who’s symbol eerily resembles a Russian symbol called the Coat of Arms from the Serbian Flag. The news station in Montana said, “American Police Force officials showed up in Mercedes SUV’s that had “Hardin Police” stenciled on the vehicles. The twist, the city of Hardin doesn’t have a police department.”

It started as a contract with the APF, having them secure and take over the jail in preparation for Guantanamo detainees, but according to local news and residents who live in Hardin they are harassing the whole town. The American Police Force are integrating themselves with the Sheriff’s department, patrolling the streets, pulling people over, and it has even have been said by one supposed resident that they are building some kind of heavy duty gates at the entrances of the town. However, that has not been confirmed. A Two Rivers Authority official said that the aggressive tactics of the APF was never part of their agenda. A concerned citizen said:

“I am also told by a reliable source that today one of the managers at a local business in Hardin was visited by this new private security force which is now the new Hardin Police Department. He is an avid hunter and they came to inform him that they had a list of all fire arms that he owned; this includes all the residents of our town, and that he would need to take his guns down to have them put a marking device on them.”

This really has the residents of Hardin Montana upset, as they rightfully should. It sounds like this private security force is doing things the city council did not contract for them to cover. Is this government’s doing? Or is this a private organization overstepping their bounds? I think it is the later. However, scarily, I do recall President Obama, while running for president, saying that he wanted “a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the US military. (Here is the video.) It is hard to understand what is going on in Hardin Montana, but we need to make sure that it does not go unnoticed.

This unofficial “czar” is one busy little bee since being approved to his office of administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. Cass Sunstein has now drafted what is the equivalent to a new Fairness Doctrine. World Net Daily explains this “First Amendment New Deal”, “would include the establishment of a panel of “nonpartisan experts” to ensure “diversity of view” on the airwaves.” As we all know, the only lack in diversity exists on the side of the mainstream media not presenting any news that may conflict with the liberal or progressive agenda. So, this would undoubtedly be focused on what has been come to be known as conservative media.

But it is so far well disguised. Sunstein even has previously said, “It seems quite possible that a law that contained regulatory remedies would promote rather than undermine the ‘freedom of speech.” It is my opinion, that any restraints on media would prohibit the notion of free speech completely.
Given the wording of some of these documents like the Fairness Doctrine, and what Sunstein is calling his First Amendment New Deal, it can be misleading as to whether or not it would water down the information we are able to receive through the networks. One of the regulations, as reported by World Net Daily, says that “purely commercial stations provide financial subsidies to public television or to commercial stations that agree to provide less profitable but high-quality programming.”
With Cass Sunstein’s radical past I find it hard to believe that all the regulations contained in the “First Amendment New Deal” is as meaningless as the one previously mentioned. I will be on the lookout for the remainder of the document so that I can see what else Mr. Sunstein has in store for our freedoms.

Democratic Sen. Max Baucus of Montana proposes a plan that would make health insurance mandatory with possible fines of up to $3800 for anyone who does not have health coverage. What ever happened to the land of the free? Why do our politicians feel the need to make the American people be forced to do something that they may or may not want to do? We all know that the reason that America’s heath care is in a bind has very little to do with people not having medical care and more to do with a number of other factors such as outrageous law suits, unnecessary defensive medicine, and over whelming use of our ERs by illegal immigrants. Simply put, making health care insurance mandatory will do nothing in curving the cost crisis that we face in our nations health care system.

I suppose that Diane Watson should have moved to a communist country a long time ago, because she sure does seem to love all aspects of their way of life. She uses race to draw people in to think that those who oppose President Barack Obama’s policies are not only racist but also anti-American. It sounds to me that it is the other way around. Race has absolutely nothing to do with opposition to a tyrannical government. Diane Watson praises Fidel Castro as “one of the brightest leaders I have ever met.” And loves what he has done with health care (one of the poorest on earth). She leaves a bad taste in my mouth and has no business as a United States official or an official of ANY country wishing to be free. The following article shows the video of her condescending speech and the author of the article makes some excellent points regarding Diane’s rant as well.

All I have to say is, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech[…].” When is the ACLU and our judicial system going to stop this madness and remember what our founders put in the Constitution to protect us from something like what the ACLU just tried to do. What part of the “Congress shall make no law…..religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof[…]” do they not understand?
