Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, the same that has said “I hereby accuse the North American empire of being the biggest menace to our planet”, and “The U.S. throws stones to Latin America”, has acquired thousands of missiles from the Russian government to supposedly aid Venezuela in a conflict with Colombia. However, as reported by the Associated Press, Colombia and Washington deny having any plans to attack Venezuela, but Chavez argues they are plotting together a military offensive against Venezuela. He argues that the weapons accumulation is merely a precautionary measure.
With President Chavez’s long history of hate towards the USA, one has to wonder why our supposed friend Russia would provide him with such a weapons cache. And this is just a tip of the iceberg in that which Russia has provided Venezuela and is yet to provide in the future. They have in the past, since 2005, allowed Chavez to purchase 24 Sukhoi fighter jets, dozens of attack helicopters and 100,000 Kalashnikov assault rifles. And soon the Venezuelan President will be also acquiring Russian tanks. The Russian government has given him a $2.2 billion dollar line of credit in which Chavez can use to continue to purchase military arms.
This may be looking too far into it, but could Russia be arming this dictator for their own purposes? It seems like a substantial amount of weaponry for a battle with Colombia. There is no doubt that both have a distaste for the United States of America. Hugo Chavez himself has said, “We must tell the world, down with the U.S. empire.” And then with Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, being an ex-head of the KGB just before the fall of the soviet union calling the shots, who knows what the real intentions of these two countries are really. Here lately Russia has been siding with our enemies around the world more often than not, and like the old saying goes, “actions speak louder than words.”
Just a few articles about Russia siding with U.S. enemies (sometimes they side with the U.S. then turn around and do the opposite, like not wanting to impose further sanctions):
Here we go again, another Russian Bomber flying over international waters in the Pacific. On November 12, 2009 two Russian Tu-95 Bear strategic bombers were performing a routine patrol over the Pacific Ocean. Two NATO F-15 fighter jets shadowed the two Russian bombers for over 15 hours. Ever since August 2007 Russia, then under President Putin, began to resume bomber patrols over international waters. Such a move has not been done since the fall of the old Soviet Union back in the early 90’s.
What purpose does Russia think that flying bombers in international air space might do for their country? Is Russia trying to jump-start a new cold war with the West? I thought that both our countries had finally put that beside us and become peaceful allies. Maybe right now is not the time for President Barak Obama to be pursuing a peaceful disarmament of our nuclear arsenal with a country that for now is not really show an interest in being very peaceful with us.
Just recently President Obama was caught holding a radical anti-American book. Apparently, the President was reading this book on one of his overseas trips. Why would our President be reading something that does not inspire American greatness, but instead speaks about the decline of our once great nation?
In this book “The Post-American World”, written by Fareed Zakaria America is in a state of decline. It states that some kind of world order is starting to rise up led by countries like Russia, China, and India, and that it is starting to surpass America as the leading nation economically and militarily. Basically, this book suggests that America must not pursue superpower superiority, but rather learn to get along with the rest of the world.
One would have to wonder why our President would want to read such liberal crap. Does he believe what Fareed Zakaria states not only in his book, but also in the interview he has given in recent times to the likes of the BBC? I for one hope not. I was, along with many other Americans, raised to believe that America is the greatest country that has ever been in existence since the beginning of civilization. We achieved that status not by conquering and taking over lands, nor by our diversity, but by simply being free. It is our freedom that makes us great. It is our freedom that makes people all around the world want to live here. It is our can do spirit that inspires when the going gets tough we the people get tougher.
I am afraid that our President does not share that same view point. Instead of speaking about our great country for what it is, we catch him going overseas apologizing for what our country has done wrong in the past. Sure I will admit that we have made some mistakes in the past, but that does not out weigh those things that we have done that were good. We fought two wars in Europe and one in the Pacific just in the last century alone. Not for conquering, but instead we fought it for liberation of all people. We as a nation sacrificed many of our young men and women for the greater good of freedom. We as a nation freed many around the world. We even in the last eight years freed those in the Middle East from the likes of dictators like Saddam Hussein, and also from the Taliban in Afghanistan.
Not only has America defended the world from tyranny with our great military, but our nation has too often been very generous to other countries in need. Remember the tsunami that hit on December 26, 2004 in the Indian Ocean? Many nations like Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand were the hardest hit. Hundreds of thousands of people not only lost their homes, but also lost their lives. It was the U.S. that sent our naval fleet over there first to provide medical, food, shelter, and personnel to help those countries in their time of need. We did this without even being asked. That, my friends, is what America does. I don’t see that same honorable attitude from our current President. In fact, judging from his reading material it is quite the opposite, he does not represent the American spirit which many patriots have now come to miss.

When does the pursuit of peace become a threat to national security? One would think that allowing another country, one with a history of hostile intent, to take inventory of your nuclear arsenal would be at the top of that list of things not to do to cross that line. In order to maintain peace you have to maintain strength, according to the Reagan administration, which kept America safe for the entire term of Reagan’s presidency. To maintain strength, you must be able to have the upper hand in the possible event of a dispute taking place. For your enemy to know where you keep your top secret weapons gives them the advantage and the knowledge to take out your defense before or during the attack. What is there to keep your opponent from taking you out? If they know your moves, your weakness, your ability, they can prepare for combat and dramatically increase the likely hood of their success.
This is the scenario that the Obama administration is trying to carry out right now. President Obama is allowing Hillary Clinton to meet with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to form a treaty between the US and Russia. This treaty would allow the Russians to visit nuclear sites in America to count missiles and warheads. As put in the Fox News article, this “would constitute the most intrusive weapons inspection program the U.S. has ever accepted.” I do not know if Obama is keeping in mind that a favorite revered Russian past time is the strategic game of chess, lining up all their pieces perfectly before the irrevocable strike to debilitate their adversary.
Surly, being elected as President, Obama is not that naive. I would bet that he knows fully that this is another move to weaken America as we have seen in past actions by this President. He has weakened America by crippling our military by cutting out top weapons and funding, plunging the U.S. into staggering debt and unemployment, bowing to foreign leadership, releasing interrogation techniques, shutting down missile defense in Poland which left our east coast vulnerable to missile strikes, and showing our allies that the U.S. is no longer one that can be trusted. This latest atrocity, allowing Russia access to our Nuclear missiles and warheads, seems to be yet another step in the direction that the Obama administration has laid out in their agenda of the once great United States of America.
***Just a little note, upon researching this, most news articles have this story somewhat hidden in titles like “Clinton Arrives In Russia For Talks On Iran, Nuclear Arms” and “Clinton To Focus On Iran, Arms Reduction During Russia Visit”. It seems that most everyone is tip toeing around it and barely touching the story when it really is a big deal.***
I don’t know what this could be, but it is a very weird cloud formation in Moscow, Russia. Some say it is something that was left behind by a UFO. Others think that it is some sort of remains from a dimensional portal. Yet, others think that it was caused by HAARP a top secret program that the US is doing in Alaska. What ever this thing is, it sure is strange. Maybe someone out there can explain to me what we see in this video.
The Geneva talks, also being called the P5 plus 1, were supposed to put a halt to any unauthorized enrichment of uranium. President Obama was telling the media that he would impose tougher sanctions if Iran did not cooperate and would demand that inspections of the previously undisclosed nuclear facility near Qom to be within 2 weeks. Before the talks, Obama stated, “We’re committed to serious and meaningful engagement, but we’re not interested in talking for the sake of talking. If Iran does not take steps in the near future to live up to its obligations, then the United States will not continue to negotiate indefinitely. And we are prepared to move towards increased pressure.”
One would take President Obama’s remarks as a warning to Iran that they must live up to the obligations set by previous UN agreements and to cooperate with the proposals in the Geneva talks. But that is not what happened. Obama’s administration spokesman, on the next day, took back the two week deadline and said there was no “hard and fast deadline,” and “we don’t have like a drop-dead date.” Which is just what the so-called UN Security Council decided on, giving Iran a date of October the 25th for the inspections to begin. This is plenty of time for them to “clean up” any suspicious activity in the hidden facility.
The supposed “deal” that was concluded from the Geneva talks was to send approximately one nuclear-weapon’s worth of Iran’s low enriched uranium (LEU) to Russia for enrichment to 19.75% and fabrication into fuel rods for Tehran’s research reactor. But an unnamed Iranian official said that this deal “is just based on principles. We have not agreed on any amount or any numbers.” Even if it is, this is undermining the UN’s Resolution 1696 which required Iran to “suspend all enrichment-related and reprocessing activities, including research and development.”
So Iran has already, numerous times, broken sanction resolutions and yet they find it okay to help them enrich the Uranium in Russia bringing it to just under the 20% definition of weapons-grade? The Obama administration is trying to say that after the uranium is fashioned into fuel rods that it cannot be enriched any further. But this is a lie, this is making it easier for Iran to make a nuclear weapon. As stated online in the Wall Street Journal:
“The 19.75% enriched uranium could be reconverted into uranium hexafluoride gas and quickly enriched to 90%. Iran could also “burn” its uranium fuel (including the Russian LEU available for the Bushehr reactor) and then chemically extract plutonium from the spent fuel to produce nuclear weapons.”
This is clearly not the direction that we were hoping the Geneva talks would be headed. But as we have seen repeatedly in the past 10 months, Obama cowtows to the foreign leaders and lets Iran leave the talks with a victory that will inevitably come back to haunt us. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is even boasting to the Iranian people that he has won without war and without sanctions. The bottom line is that the UN asked Iran not to enrich uranium and Obama and the UN Security Council has just given Iran the green light to go ahead an do it anyways even in light of the recent reveal of Iran having plans to build WMD and Russian scientists assisting with the program.
We have known for quite some time that Iran has been quite adamant on developing a nuclear program. One of these, the United Nations has been well aware and done numerous inspections. However, it has been discovered recently that Iran has a secret nuclear program that was unknown to the UN and violated the international agreements between Iran and the other UN countries. It was discovered that the hidden facility is 100 miles southwest of Tehran near the holy city of Qom in full operation and is capable of handling up to 3,000 centrifuges. President Obama stated, “This site deepens a growing concern that Iran is refusing to live up to those international responsibilities. This is not the first time that Iran has concealed information about its nuclear program.” So, clearly Iran is becoming more of a nuclear threat than has been previously led to believe.
On Friday, Obama demanded that Tehran immediately open the site to international inspections. Although, according to World Net Daily, President Obama knew about the hidden facility even before the G20 Summit in Pittsburgh, he did not mention it during his speech or meetings during that event. But, he was not surprised by all means. I have to say, I feel that Obama’s threat of tougher US sanction is a joke. We need the threat of taking Iran out to get things moving. Now, there is a meeting scheduled between Iran and the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council – the U.S., Britain, France, China and Russia – plus Germany is scheduled for Oct. 1 in Geneva. Whether or not that will be successful is now in deep question since the revelation of this hidden nuclear facility.
This is yet another reason why President Obama has no business weakening American military. It is clear that we have a very strong enemy presence and will need to be ready to take action if needed to defend our country or our allies. I wonder with the knowledge that Obama has if the weakening of the military is part of a bigger plan to join a possible “world order” as we saw a glimpse of in the speech given at the G20 Summit. We seem to be the only ones making ourselves easier to attack.
Here we go again, another enemy of the U.S. getting support from Russia to develop nuclear power. Except this time the country is much closer to our shores. Venezuela’s dictator, Hugo Chavez, said the other day that Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin agreed to help Venezuela’s nuclear energy program during a meeting in Moscow last week. Of coarse Chavez stated that their goal of nuclear power is just for peaceful purposes and not to build a bomb. Isn’t that what both North Korea and Iran said? With North Korea threatening a third nuclear explosion test and Iran having enough low-enriched uranium to produce one nuclear weapon, stated by a senior U.S. diplomat in The Washington Post, one could only wonder what would happen if Chavez could get his hands on that same kind of material. What would he do with it? He claims that it would be for peace energy purposes, but with his hatred for the U.S. and its’ allies in South America one could only assume that he would use such power to inflict his will on all the countries around the region.
Also, what in the world is Russia up to? For the past eight years Russia has done a lot of supporting most of the U.S.’s enemies around the world. Supplying them with weapons that could help them in defending their countries against American attack or voting against U.S. led UN sanctions in the Security Counsel against countries like Iran. Not to mention Russia patrolling with nuclear-powered attack subs off our eastern seaboard. Why do they need to do that, if we are supposed to have a good diplomatic relationship? Do they want to go back to the way things were during the Cold War? Or are they planning something more sinister? One can only wonder.
