From WND

There was very little notice for most of America in regards to the “Emergency House Call on Congress”. With the protest being organized only about one week before the event was to occur, the turn out was impressive. At least 10,000 or more people descended on the nations capitol to let Congress know that the current health care bill presented by democrats is not what Americans want. They chanted phrases like, “Hands off our health care,” and “Kill the bill.”

It was a peaceful demonstration that was lead by Michele Bachmann and Pete Hoekstr. The group was there with urgency with voting possible as early as Saturday and since the health care legislation presented will not only cost the nation upwards of $1.1 trillion dollars, but will also lead to a decline in the quality of care that is received in our country. It will empower the government with authority they are not meant to have over our lives; it will take away freedom and consumer choice.

I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I travelled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer. – Ben Franklin

There are many types of people who we come across throughout life, most of those to my good fortune have been hard-working, good-natured individuals that are bent on doing right and making an honest living. But on occasion, especially in the recent years, I have met some who are perfectly happy living off of others, or as I use to know it, being freeloaders. I have heard many times over, “Why go get a job when welfare pays more?” Or, “I’m not going to look for a job until my unemployment is almost up because it pays better.” And of course other similar remarks have come about too.

This seems to be an epidemic in our country now. Gone is the “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country,” attitude. It has been replaced with the notion that the government owes you something, if not everything. That you are somehow entitled to things you have never even worked for or tried to achieve. We have become a nation of many who are far too dependent on government for their needs and too selfish to care about the freedoms they give up in place of an easy mediocre life. And so, when big government rears its head as “help” and “hope” they immediately leap onto the train without a thought as to where is it’s true destination.

Once again, as we have seen numerous times in the previous months, Washington is seeking to expand what it seems to be a generous arm to help the people by extending unemployment benefits by up to 20 weeks and also extending the home buyer tax credit. In a 98-0 vote, the Senate passed the $24 billion Worker, Homeownership and Business Assistance Act of 2009 plunging our nation further into unnecessary and unprecedented debt. Will this help the issue with job loss? No, it will only pay those who are unmotivated to stay that way for 20 more weeks at the expense of the taxpayers who are still working. Will it help the economy? No, it will make those who are working hold on to their money that much more knowing that tax increase is inevitable to pay for the multiple bailouts backed by insufficient funds.

All the while it may help few that really are trying desperately to find a job, but it is increasing national debt, enabling freeloaders, and allowing more government control of business. What is needed right now is less spending and less government to get America back on track. This is a bipartisan step in the wrong direction. And with the Obama administration crushing American’s faith in capitalism, ruining the U.S. dollar, implementing unnecessary programs, and pushing to pass more government take over, you can bet that the dependency on the government will only grow at an accelerated pace. It is ironic that those who are in majority at Washington right now are called Progressives because we as a country are clearly regressing. We are moving away from a free society and towards socialism.

Republican Scozzafava endorses Democrat after dropping out of race for New York’s 23rd Congressional District after realizing that she can not win. This needs to be a realization for all the GOP to get the Rhinos out, move the Moderates aside, and bring back the Conservatives. At least the Democratic candidate was supported by a group sharing the same ideals; it would have not been even a close win for Scozzafava because of the difference in the beliefs held by her and her supporting party. This was a complete waste of time, money, and effort in the Republican party when they could have easily gone with much more of a true “right-winger”. But for now, it looks as though a good candidate will likely be voted in for the Conservative party. I am all for third parties, but unfortunately, it is usually the more well-funded individuals who have the higher chances.

Just for a good laugh, check out Joe Biden’s ridiculous rant. Sounds like he is encouraging dissent as long as it is in line with the Obama agenda. And be sure to see how he jumps back to Sarah Palin at the end, he just can’t get over his recent disagreement with her on energy.

With the Copenhagen convention just six weeks away and the signing of a historically catastrophic treaty looming in the future, the White House is taking no breaks in working on climate bills that compliment the goals of the Climate Change Treaty. The Senate and Obama administration are wanting to modernize the electrical grids, shift away from oil and coal, and work towards cutting America’s greenhouse gas emissions by 20% over 2005 levels by 2020 and encourage the development of renewable energy sources like wind and solar power. Which will of course lead to a horrible economic hardship for America in itself. All in the name of a cause that doesn’t exist. And in the foot steps of a treaty that is focused on bringing about a new world government.

There has been talk of President Obama not attending the Copenhagen convention this December because he has his Nobel peace prize to accept. However, it is in the same vicinity and with the administration working so hard on bills that parallel the treaty itself  I find it hard to believe that the President won’t be making a visit after his grand acceptance speech. After all, as a Nobel peace prize recipient, he has a duty to be part of the big Climate Change convention that will change the world forever.

An asteroid that was 30 ft across exploded through our atmosphere at about 9-12 miles above sea level at an estimated 45,000 mph on October 8th. It didn’t do any damage because of the height at which it exploded and the size of the asteroid. However, researchers feel that had it been slightly larger it could have caused significant damage on the ground. What has everyone the most shaken is the fact that it was not spotted ahead of time by telescopes. And of course, it is reported that the White House is to develop a policy on the space object impact threat by October of next year. This is in my mind a great example of how the human race as a whole has no control or impact over the world or universe around us. Here is the link to the full story and a video of the trail after it entered the atmosphere:

Once upon a time there was a great nation built on free market and capitalism. The whole world knew you could come to America with nothing in your wallet and turn it into something prosperous. Many families of this nation have these stories of distant relatives coming from other countries with nothing and with a little hard work and some risk would make something of themselves. Well, I have to break it to you, those days are probably gone. The days of capitalism are dwindling as Washington D.C. is appearing more like Moscow in the late Soviet Union, than the United States of America that we knew and loved as under administrations like President Reagan. With big government taking control of most of the large corporations in the U.S. they are now finding it acceptable to regulate pay too. This idea is surely making our founding fathers roll in their graves!

Just recently the pay czar, Ken Feinberg, authorized the pay cuts of 50-90% for many CEOs who’s companies participated in the government bailout. This didn’t include all the companies that participated, no, it was only seven certain ones: Bank of America Corp., American International Group Inc., Citigroup Inc., General Motors, GMAC, Chrysler and Chrysler Financial. The two big ones who’s CEOs will not receive pay cuts are Goldman Sachs and GE. The reason being because these companies are going along with every major policy decision of the Obama administration.

These bought out, er, I mean bailed out companies are not the only targets though. This is also to include any business that the government, the treasury, or possibly, the fed deems is too economically important to fail. That would mean small business too, or the Chamber of Commerce who represents over 3 million businesses that engage in the free-market system. This administration wants to control your right to make money! The Federal Reserve in correlation with Ken Feinberg, has also proposed to monitor pay packages at thousands of banks, including those that never received bailout money. And this proposal covers a huge scope of nearly 6,000 banks and a wide range of employees, everything from executives to traders to loan officers.

Excuse me, but I am most positive that there is no where in the constitution that gives the executive branch the authority to regulate what privately owned businesses should pay their employees. I know some of you might say that because these companies took buy out, I mean bailout money that the government has every right to regulate their salaries. However, if that was the case instead of the administration making these decisions it should be the people whose money was used for the stimulus, but even that is not constitutional.

So here we are again looking at the Obama administration making anti-capitalist decisions leading us down the road of socialism to the town of communism. Which in essence is when the government is in charge of the economy. Is this the true intentions disguised by President Obama? And is this really what those who voted him into office had in mind when promised a new kind of politics? I would like to think not.  Like it or not, capitalism is what has made this country strong. Like a family to be formed starting with a Mother and a Father, in a successful society there must be those who make enough money to pay those whom they employee. A classless society where there is no wealthy may sound Utopian to some, but it can not, has not, and will not ever work.

Capitalism- an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market.

Communism- a : a doctrine based on revolutionary Marxian socialism and Marxism-Leninism that was the official ideology of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics b : a totalitarian system of government in which a single authoritarian party controls state-owned means of production c : a final stage of society in Marxist theory in which the state has withered away and economic goods are distributed equitably d : communist systems collectively. ( Like Health Care Reform)

Marxism- the political, economic, and social principles and policies advocated by Marx; especially : a theory and practice of socialism including the labor theory of value, dialectical materialism, the class struggle, and dictatorship of the proletariat until the establishment of a classless society.

Glenn Beck Show 10/23/09

Many of us consider freedom of speech an absolute right and to be one that we hold dear in the United States of America. That right, given by the first amendment is still allowed, however, it seems to be only when it is aligned with the Obama Administration’s agenda. Here is an article of how the White House tried to exclude Fox News from the press pool on October 22, 2009 as a disciplinary measure for their conservative take on news: http://www.weeklystandard.com/weblogs/TWSFP/2009/10/escalation_white_house_tries_t.asp

And here is a great article from Wall Street Journal on how this is not all about Fox News, it’s about the media as a whole, or in other words, the freedom of press:

Talk about your Chicago politics. What is this, the White House or the basement of a Mafia social club?

UPDATE:

This is a video discussing the White House trying to exclude Fox News. Even the self proclaimed liberal is just astounded by the actions of the Obama administration towards this news agency.

I posted the video of Lord Christopher Monckton’s warning of the coming Climate Change treaty yesterday. At that time I did not feel that I had enough information to write on the issue. Although I can not find a copy of the actual treaty to be signed, I have gathered information on it from enough sources to know that what I do have is indeed true.

This December the United Nations will be holding a Climate Change Convention in Copenhagen. It is to address the ridiculous, and recently proved incorrect, notion that mankind is destroying the planet with CO2 emissions. The main idea was to punish the countries and industries that have contributed the largest amount of “damage” by having them pay other countries who have not contributed so much, or what the they are saying is payment for a climate debt. This alone is a huge and unprecedented tax on everyone that will inevitably bring about the final collapse of the American economy. But that is not all.

According to Lord Christopher Monckton today on a Glenn Beck interview, this treaty will allow the set up of a world government. The word “government” actually appears on paragraph 36 and 38. Lord Monckton states:

“There will be a new vast interlocking bureaucratic entity created at huge expense to you and me and that bureaucratic entity will have three purposes, the first of which is twice stated to be government. The second purpose is stated to be the transfer or redistribution of wealth from countries like ours to third world countries in reparation for what is described in the treaty as climate debt.”

“Now, the third element in the task of this new government will be what is called enforcement. In other words, the power of the new government to make Democratic countries hand over their cash, whether they like it or not.”

And President Obama is completely ready to sign this treaty. He has been on board with it from the beginning. We have heard Obama say that his administration is determined to combat climate change, and right after taking office he made it a national priority. As with most liberals and progressives, the environmental movement is at the top of the to do list. The reason is not to save the whales, or the polar ice caps; it is all about the ever so sought after power over others. And in an effort to appease world leaders and reserve his place in the world government, I fear President Obama will not hesitate when at this Climate Change Convention.

I know you are thinking what I did, this is never going to happen. In order for a treaty to be passed it must be ratified by 2/3 majority in the Senate. Of course, we hopefully do not have this many politicians in the Senate willing to give up U.S. Sovereignty (giving that everyone would actually take the time to read it). So there is no danger of this passing even if Obama does commit this act of treason and sign the treaty, right? I’m not entirely sure. From what I have found, and please correct me if I am wrong, if the Senate does not ratify the treaty then Obama can get it enacted into domestic law by a simple majority in both houses. That can, however, be repealed. But the Obama administration can get the states and the cities to get on board with the Climate Change treaty saying that it is what they want and take it to Supreme Court. Then the court will look for the direction in which the country and the world is moving, and then they can give the okay.

This is a communistic vision, one in which is not hard to pick out. We were even warned of this in 2007 by Czech President Vaclav Klaus who said, “It becomes evident that while discussing climate we are not witnessing a clash of views about the environment, but a clash of views about human freedom.” And communism, according to Wikipedia, is socioeconomic structure and political ideology that promotes the establishment of an egalitarian, classless, stateless society based on common ownership and control of the means of production and property in general.

Environmentalism is basically communism in disguise. It is a more subtle and an easier way to get people to peacefully (or so they think) way to hand over their rights. As the article Environmentalism vs. Communism: Is There a Difference?, it says:

“Since the years of the Cold War began winding down, a new threat has faced our nation and has now spread throughout the world. It’s seemingly innocent attempt to save the planet from human destruction is nothing more than an attempt to stifle capitalist economies and provide governments of industrialized nations an unprecedented amount of control over their populations. It is a movement that would make even Stalin proud.”

This is what we are seeing in this Climate Change treaty, except on a global scale. The United Nations as a whole is trying to take over the world’s economy and freedoms. This will no doubt take a heavy toll on the United States of America, who is being blamed for a large amount of the false damage to the environment. We will face mass taxes without representation, and have the majority of the U.S. economy shut down. It is a step towards having the freedom and rights that we take for granted right now stripped away from us without giving time to blink.

I do not have all the facts as of yet, but the information given in this video from what I have found seems to be accurate. It was also addressed on the Rush Limbaugh show today as well. I will of course write an article when I have more information. In the mean time, here it is, a video which as stated in the information, “On October 14th 2009, Lord Christopher Monckton, a noted climate change expert, gave a presentation at Bethel College in St. Paul, MN in which he issued a dire warning regarding the United Nations Climate Change Treaty which is scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009.”

UPDATE:

If you are up for some new reading material, here is the “Framework Convention on Climate Change” documentation in pdf. It may provide some insight into what is instore for this upcoming “convention”.

When I originally posted this I was not sure as to the full extent of the truth, but everything I have found so far points to it as true.
