Propaganda Power: The NEA Helps To Push Political Agenda

When there is a war being fought, be it for sport such as wrestling, political war as seen in every election, or the war fought for your mind or opinion on every day life; it can be religion, food preference, shoes, cell phone company, and of course the list goes on, but propaganda in one form or another is generally involved. One of the most famous and well known demonstrations of the power of propaganda is the influence it had in World War I. It causes those surrounded by it to draw from it certain beliefs and feel unity in those beliefs through the depiction they have seen. In WWI, this involved film makers and artists drawing on the pride and love of country. It also helped to form a more politically correct view of the enemy. In that situation, propaganda was put to good use. It helped to defeat a common enemy that was undoubtedly evil.
It seems that our current administration has seen fit to draw on this power of propaganda to push their political agenda and create an image for those opposed to it. As to what images will be portrayed, perhaps we have already seen some of it and those which we have not, well, that will come soon. But we do know it is coming as it was reported by Pat Courrielche, a contributor on Breitbart’s Big Hollywood blog, a filmmaker, and an art community consultant. It was he that had been one of the NEA members that received emails and sat in on conference calls regarding a “call” from the White House to “…to push the president and to push his administration.” It was hosted by The United We Serve team, the White House Office of Public Engagement, and the National Endowment for the Arts. And one of the direct recorded quotes even tells these artists what to create, saying:

“I would encourage you to pick something, whether it’s health care, education, the environment. There’s four key areas that the corporation has identified as the areas of service. Then my ask would be to apply your artistic, creativity community’s utilities and bring them to the table. Again, I’m really, really honored to be working with you.“

In other words, be as creative as you like, but try to stick to these main goals. And according to the man who was brave enough to come forward with this information, “when you had the crowd that we did have on that phone call, there is only going to be one result of that.” So, that “call” to help push the agenda was already well known it wouldn’t have to be pushed far. After all, these were the same group that had helped formulate the art used in Obama’s campaign.

Luckily, Pat Courrielche knew that something was not right and came out with this information. He stated to Glenn Beck on Fox News, “If you look throughout history, history is riddled with that being a bad thing: With art coming together with the government to speak to the people.” And is he ever right. Look at Hitler, the Soviet Union, China, South Korea, the Middle East, and Venezuela to name a few. The majority of their “art” is centered around promoting the views the government wants for the people. I really think this is a gross miss use of power and it would have not been tolerated had it been any other president.

Just plain creepy! Wasn’t there something like this on the History Channel lately? I think I remember them analyzing the corpse with out being able to come to any conclusion as to what it is. I may be wrong, it could have been a different corpse. Still creepy though!

Gun-toting Protestors

Although I personally would not carry an assault riffle to a rally or protest of any kind, he was not breaking any laws in his state. The reason being, the state has the authority to put on or take away gun restrictions, and in AZ it is legal. Now would the President being there trump the state law? I do not think it would because of what I said previously, the states are given that right to regulate firearms through the Constitution. This man, although an extremely bold example, did no wrong. I think that some people would use an example like this to express their freedom of gun ownership and carrying no matter what. It is in a way fueling the fire for those against guns, and it should be taken in a somewhat less combative manner in these types of events. There are just so many that are fed up with being told by the liberal elite and their followers that there right to protect themselves should be handed over to the government along with everything else that this type of display may become more frequent.

Firearms & Federal Parks

Should law abiding citizens be allowed to carry firearms on federal parks such as Yellowstone National Park? A bill President Obama signed in May gives the go ahead for those who are licensed gun owners the right to carry weapons on federal land as long as the state on which the land presides says it is okay. This law will go into effect next February. I see nothing wrong with people who are law abiding citizens to be allowed to carry a weapon in these parks. With the upward climb of animal related attacks and deaths through out the parks, it is about time the government allows the people to have a chance to defend themselves and their loved ones. Do I support special training in order to be allowed to do this? I don’t see why not; a well informed and well trained citizen is a responsible citizen.
